From the early days of EA’s software implementation, the commitment has been to non-proprietary system building blocks. This strategy sees Atrium™ presented on leading edge third party technologies, including Microsoft Windows embedded operating system, internet protocols and support for industry standard protocols such as BACnet®, and Modbus®. EA’s choice of platforms makes it possible to procure “off the shelf” network hardware and processing hardware, minimising the overall system cost and simplifying system expansion.

Atrium™ is an extremely adaptable architecture. It integrates building controls, access control and other internal systems such as fire, emergency power, hydraulics, security and lifts and is ideally suited to a wide variety of building applications.

Plant Control & Services Monitoring
Modern plant control strategies are based on centralised monitoring and a common process controller for all services. Typical functions provided by Atrium™ include modulating and sequential plant control, together with monitoring and control of lighting, diesel and hydraulics.
